The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala inaugurated the Mission Kochi 15-8-15 campaign of Kochi Municipal Corporation on 25th August 2014. The new waste collection compact vehicles of the Kochi Municipal Corporation was also flagged off during the function. Public Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju handed over the letter of permission to the Clean Kerala Company to set up an e-waste disposal unit. Stakeholders of the ‘City Beautification’ project handed over their documents to the Hon’ble Minister for Excise and Ports, Shri. K Babu proclaiming their support for the implementation of the project. Prof. K.V. Thomas, Shri. Hibi Eden MLA, Shri. Dominic Presentation MLA, Shri. Benny Behanan MLA, Shri. Ludy Louis MLA and GCDA Chairman Shri. N Venugopal were the chief guests of the inaugural function. Hon’ble Mayor Shri. Tony Chammany, Shri. T. J Vinod, Chairman, Development Standing Committee and Smt. A. S Anuja, Secretary in Charge were also present.
The Mission Kochi 15-8-15 campaign include the 33 projects that were announced in the annual budgets as well as a few new ones which will be completed partially or fully within 393 days. The aim of the campaign is to fast-track the implementation of each one of them.
